In 2019 our ARTSCHOL 100 theme is Moveable Feasts, where students engage with a range of speakers from Arts and beyond on the topic of Food. Food is at the heart of most human interactions even (or perhaps especially) when it is absent. It serves basic biological functions and is the key to survival. However, it is also at the heart of social interactions, family, politics, religion, folklore, media and so much more. This course encourages students to think about food from a multiplicity of angles – from Christ to Korero – through different disciplinary lenses, texts and activities.
